Alicante 1st place in top of European cities with the most hours of sunshine.

Spain is known for its southern European country with lots of sunshine, since it is one of the most popular sun destinations for many Europeans. But which cities (and the areas around it) have the most sun hours per month? The international search engine for holiday homes ‘Holidu’ has done a study and compiled a top 30 list in which almost half of the cities can be found in Spain.

6 out of 10 sunny cities in Europe belong to Spain. This makes Spain the absolute leader in this area. This is good news for those in these cities and see few clouds, because they get a good dose of vitamin D. There are even 12 Spanish cities in the top 30 list.

With an amazing 349 hours of sunshine per month, the city of Alicante has conquered first place as the sunniest city in all of Europe. The average temperature in the city is also 19.1 degrees.

The city of Málaga is in fourth place with 345 sun hours per month. The average temperature of the city is 19.7 degrees. Valencia is in sixth place with 343 sun hours per month. The average temperature of the city is almost 20 degrees with 19.6 degrees.
